Marcela Cecero
Spanish Teacher
Ms. Cerecero was born and raised in Northern Mexico surrounded by nature on fields with corn, beans, peaches, apricots and pecan trees. In 2002, she earned a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources near her hometown. Her love for teaching began in California, more than 15 years ago, while teaching Spanish to children from Preschool to 8th Grade. Ten years ago, she began her studies in Waldorf Education, earning an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the Bay Area Center for Waldorf Teacher Training and she completed her certification as a Grades Waldorf Teacher from the Center of Anthroposophy in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She has also attended many Early Childhood Conferences in Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy to continue further development.
In 2014, she began her career in Waldorf Education for the Singing Stones School in Concord, California as the Grades Spanish Teacher and the following year as their Pre-K/Kindergarten Teacher for ages three through five. In 2018, she began working for the Morning Tree School in Walnut Creek, California as their Spanish Teacher and Kindergarten Teacher and most recently she worked as the Spanish Teacher for the Camellia Waldorf School in Sacramento, California. In 2020, she returned to Mexico to be close with family and homeschool her son, who is now a 7th grader in our Middle School.
Ms. Cerecero enjoys traveling, Mexican folklore dancing, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She and her son are very excited to join and be part of the Living Oaks community.
