Paulina Armstrong
Rose Kindergarten, Assistant Teacher
Paulina Rose Armstrong was born in Moldova, a small Eastern European country with Romanian, Russian, and Jewish ancestry. She immigrated as a young child to California where she trained as a hopeful for the 1996 Olympics in artistic gymnastics. As a child she lived in Southern California and Connecticut and attended California State University Fullerton graduating with a BA in Communications with a Radio, TV, Film emphasis. She pursued a career in the film industry working as an executive for over a decade in marketing and brand management at studios including Dreamworks Animation and NBC Universal.
It wasn't until she and her husband decided to have children in 2010 that her soul's desire was revealed. Motherhood was a rebirth and remembrance that awakened the healer, creator, and teacher within. It was through her children that she rediscovered her passion for creative expression in movement, dance, and art. When she was introduced to Waldorf education and the teachings of Rudolf Steiner the holistic, magical, and artistic approach to childhood development burst her mind and soul wide open.
Paulina embraced Waldorf in her home life and became immersed in the life of her children’s school. Starting in the Sweet Pea program at Pasadena Waldorf she was introduced to handwork and went on to be the Kindy classroom mom and Holiday Festival Chair. At The Waldorf City School she joined the administration team becoming the Office Manager, and substituting in Kindy, lower grades, aftercare and summer camp programs. Being surrounded by Waldorf teachers on a daily basis inspired her to dive deeper into Rudolf Steiner's teachings. In tandem with her work at the school she became certified in teaching Kundalini Yoga and as a Sound Healing practitioner. Paulina is also a passionate gardener and is currently completing herbalism school.
In June of 2022 Paulina, her husband and two children relocated to Dripping Springs to join Living Oaks and community. Paulina worked side by side with Ms. Indra as the kindergarten assistant for Living Oaks’ inaugural year. Every aspect of Living Oaks perfectly aligns with her family's personal beliefs, passions and vision for a sovereign future. They are currently manifesting their future property in Hill Country with acreage to homestead and build a holistic healing arts space for our community. Paulina and her family are lovers of nature, simple living, and the beauty presented each day.
Paulina is excited to continue to bring her passion for nature, gardening, handwork, and intentional movement to the children.
